Why can't I just use my phone to livestream?

FAQ answer: Some people try to use their phone to livestream but find they have difficulty which ends in poor results. The phone may be reliant on local Wi-Fi (which is often poor at many venues) or on 3-5G networks. The networks share their bandwidth amongst all users and so at venues such as hotels the upload speeds can be very limited and the nearest cell tower quite some disrtance away. This results in a poor livestream. In addition, common problems of phone use is the movement and only one shot capable without being able to fluidly switch views unless moving the phone around which also makes for poor viewing.

How do you overcome the issue of a weak signal?

FAQ answer: We use specially designed equipment. We take multiple signals (Wi-Fi, multiple networks) and combine them into one bandwidth stream which provides us with a greater and more stable upload speed. Complementing this is advanced live streaming and monitoring software. We also have a backup system should any stream encounter issues or if a network drope out.

We also use dedicated antennas directed at the nearest cell towers to improve the signal and speed.

Further more, we also use a livestream editing suite which allows us to switsh between the multi camera views whilst streaming, all in real time. This provides a more engaging view for the audience. Think of it as an onsite portable production suite.

What advantage does a 360 camera have?

FAQ answer: We offer the option of using a professional six lens 360-degre camera. such a camera is also used to livestream and record. 360 cameras capture literally everything around it, it's like having six cameras all pointing out from a central position. Using the equipment that we have and in conjuncttion with livestream software, it is possible for each actual viwer, in whichever country, to change the angle of the view they see for themselves, all on their chosen device. Therefore, if they want to move the view from watching you to look at the audience or the surrounding during the livestreaam, then they can. They simply move their mobile device or scroll around with their finger.

A 360 camera can be used on its own or to compliment other positioned cameras (multiple cameras).

Do we get a copy of the livestream?

FAQ answer: We record the livestream directly and with all but the Basic package, we provide you with a copy. In addition each camera is set to record in high resolution so that an additional and optional conventional video can be produced and provided.

How long will the livestream remain visible after the event?

FAQ answer: Dependent on the chosen package, the live stream will remain accessible for a period of four weeks to a year.

What is the difference between a single and multi-camera set up?

FAQ answer: A single camera allows for just one constant view of the event unless physically moved. It does not allow for continuous uninterrupted streaming (if it needs to be moved).

A multi-camera set up allows for the livestream (and capture) of multiple angles at the same time. This provides the facility to live switch between cameras and hence views and therefore provides a mare engaging experience for the audience.

How much does it cost?

FAQ answer: The cost is dependent upon the package chosen and any additional options. The costs are very competitive and often are less than a standard videographer would charge. for more details on pricing please contact us. [email protected]

Do you offer aerial filming?

FAQ answer: We also offer aerial views (via licensed drone), that can also be livestreamed along with the other cameras, this provides a different perspective for the viewer. Aerial footage can also be captured separately.

Is there anything that we have to consider?

FAQ answer: We are reliant upon the available streaming bandwidth from the network suppliers which can fluctuate throughout the day. We always include a test run prior to the event to establish the best resolution for the livestream and whether it is possible or not (it normally is). If for any reason, prior to the event, we think there will be any problems then we offer a partial ofr full refund less the deposit.

Should there be any issue during the livestream such as the viewer end having issues (due to the platform, YT, FB etc.) resulting in the livestream not being visible or intermittent, or if the network goes down for some unforseen reason, we continue to capture the stream at our end. As soon as the problems are resolved we then broadcast the livestream to the viewers. Obviously there may be some delay but we try to keep it to a minimum but are oiften reliant on the other end over which we have no control.
